From Lago 26 to Lagomare

The collaboration between Daniel Huber and Hans Spitzauer has already produced one successful, internationally recognized boat – the Lago 26. The Lago 26 was specifically developed for lakes and is available as a sword-, keel- and even as a „flying“ variant. Now the partnership is going into the next round. The successful team is developing the new boat for Championships Yachting: The Lagomare, an innovative combination of high performance and easy handling – a boat the is easily sailable, transportable and that can be used both on lakes and at sea. The yacht should also appeal to sailing enthusiasts who would like to spend their weekends or their holidays on the boat. This proverbial squaring of the circle poses a special design challenge because the boat has to meet the qualitative, sailing and sporting demands of a former world champion sailor. On the other hand, a compromise has to be found that accomplishes a compact and comfortable boat that is suitable for sleeping under deck and therefore also for longer trips.

The purist design combined with highly sophisticated basic equipment is more than just a functional solution. It gives the combination of high performance and comfort a form that conveys these demands to the outside world. Ultra-light high-tech materials and extremely robust high-quality surfaces dominate both interior and exterior of the boat. Through the use of flexible solar panels for energy generation and a state-of-the-art hybrid drive, sustainability will be strongly emphasized. The first design studies already show the potential of the approach, which moodley industrial design and Hans Spitzauer will keep perfecting until launch.
