Task
The Purs is a place with a keen sense for the beautiful things in life. The Belgian star designer Axel Vervoordt, who’s clients include Kanye West, Robert de Niro and Calvin Klein, has turned an old office building into a one of a kind boutique hotel with just 11 rooms. With his minimalist furnishings, he created timeless spaces with a clear sense of their history. Reduction to the essentials is also what the cuisine in the in-house restaurant, which has been awarded 2 Michelin stars under the leadership of Christian Eckhardt is all about. This purism and authenticity had to be transferred into the corporate design and the website.
Solution
The Purs results from an overarching master plan. Every room is well thought though, every element blends in harmoniously, every dish is a revelation and every artwork is unique. The corporate design and the website should reflect the architecture of the designer, art and antiques dealer Axel Vervoordt accordingly: reduced, modest and at the same time modern and expressing design-oriented luxury. All according to the motto: Pure living.
